PATCH BRAIN STATE MONITOR

1 year  -  Product Developer Medical Devices

Experience in medical device development and user research under design change controls following the ISO13485 standards. Performing R&D activities for highly innovative start-ups to large companies.

The nature of my work at IDE Group was confidential. Therefore, I am not able to show detailed project visuals and explain project specifics. However, I provide a brief description of the work I enjoy doing at IDE Group.

Research in the field of brain state monitoring, the management of knee and hip prosthetic joint infection and product design of an educational healthcare robot.

Improve the usability of a Brain State Monitor patch that provides a quick and objective measurement of delirium with high diagnostic performance to support timely interventions.

  • Creative concept generation

HANDHELD DESIGN

Develop all details of a handheld device used in the management of hip prosthetic joint infection. Build the housing and integrate the electronic elements for use in the clinical trial. Develop a disposable barrier that will be used to prevent cross-contamination from the handle.

  • Concept sketches handheld design in Photoshop

  • Review product workflow with the clinical team and define requirements

  • Set product specifications

  • Define all concept geometries, based on the electronic components and features of the handheld

  • BOM - Generate all component overviews including the selection of the shelf components

  • Design Review presentation with clients and suppliers

  • Draw UI overview

  • Risk management

CARE ROBOT

Product design for FLOo, an educational care robot. Designing and building models to investigate in practical pilots how care and technology can enhance each other. The mission is to increase self-determination and belief in the abilities of parents with mild intellectual disability (MID). Through supportive robotics, we stimulate interaction between parent and child.

  • Responsible for hardware design in CAD

  • Building and testing 3D prints (review fitting electronic components and ease of assembly)

  • Engineering 5 test models for Vacuum Casting including tolerance analysis and material and color selection
